Virgil Abloh reveals Louis Vuitton x Nigo collaboration

In early March Virgil Abloh, founder and CEO of Off White and current creative director of Louis Vuitton, revealed through Instagram the first teasers of his new collaboration with Nigo for Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2020.

Japanese designer Nigo is arguably one of the most influential figures on the global urban fashion scene. Founder of Human Made, Bape and co-founder of The Billionaire Boys Club and current creative director of Uniqlo UT, he has built a cult of followers throughout his career.

The collection, titled LV Squared, focuses primarily on tailoring, inspired by Nigo’s fascination with British subcultures as well as Japanese benchmarks for his heritage. The classic “Monogram” of the French House merges into a new interpretation of the brand through streetwear garments and accessories that represent the Nigo universe.
