Alexander McQueen‘s new Resort collection is inspired by vintage, living flora. Creative designer Sarah Burton presents a collection in which endangered flowers and extinct species are the inspiration behind this masterpiece.
The collection is distinguished by contrasts: Sculptural and delicate, light and hard, inspired by the flora but also with military influence. Vivid colours such as pink, reddish and orange merge into frills, lace and tulle to create styles reminiscent of the eternal spring. The collection, also inspired by military aesthetics, is dominated by impeccable tailoring in tailored suits and leather jackets as well as leather belts and corsets. Vivid colours give place to neutral colours such as black, military green, ivory or white.
